Overview

Kadet Wallet aims to simplify the process of learning and using blockchain and crypto technology for individuals who may be unfamiliar with the space. With a focus on accessibility, this open-source initiative on the Kadena blockchain provides a user-friendly platform for securely storing digital assets and engaging in transactions. Kadet Wallet strives to revolutionize the way people approach and embrace cryptocurrency, making it more inclusive and user-friendly for all.

Roadmap & OKR's

The roadmap for this project was developed through a collaborative process involving stakeholders, project managers, and the development teams (UXD, UX Writing, Software Development, UX Research). It began with defining project goals and breaking down tasks into smaller, prioritized activities. Time and effort estimates were made, risks were identified, and contingency plans were created. The roadmap was visually represented, highlighting milestones and key deliverables. Regular reviews and adjustments were made to ensure alignment and progress. The roadmap provided a clear plan for efficient project execution while allowing flexibility for adaptation as needed.

Cryptocurrency wallets often present usability challenges for users due to complex interfaces, the risk of funds loss, and a lack of user-friendly guidance. Good UX design is crucial to simplify these complexities and enhance security, making crypto more accessible and trustworthy. With that consideration in mind, we built for our target users, all of who require a very intuitive experience of a digital wallet in order to safeguard their investments. 

Usability Test & Research

We went through a methodical process of evaluating our product's user interface, functionality, and overall user experience with real users. This practice was indispensable for several reasons. It enabled us maintain a user-centric approach as we sought to understand how users used the wallet, uncover pain points and ultimately identify areas for improvement. Through competitive analysis, iterative improvement and regular testing, it was ensured that the user's mental models aligned with our designs. Crucially, it was important that all bugs were detected and resolved to ensure a seamless and user-friendly experience that could give the client a competitive edge in the market.​

The product team skillfully structured the product backlog and established product requirements according to our strategic roadmap. They dedicated their efforts to ranking and prioritizing epics and features, ultimately shaping them into user stories complete with well-defined acceptance criteria. Recommendations

Tech Fleet - Kadet Wallet

  1. Investigate using OpenAuth / Web 3 auth for onboarding instead of seed phrases. 

  2. Build and test significance of Wallet Connect to the user experience

  3. Fully integrate Kadet Wallet with K-block.

  4. Enable users to buy or trade crypto tokens directly within the app, streamlining their experience.

  5. Create educational resources within the app to help users learn about blockchain concepts and overcome barriers.

  6. Conduct additional research to better understand the technical needs of users within the app.

  7. Further iterate on on-boarding and user guidance in-app based on the latest results of research.

  8. Flesh out more educational material and tools for the kadet wallet website to make it easier to understand the Kadena blockchain.
